FrankKeller > 10-31-10: From a vantage point high above the town of Palmer Lake, CO one can really get a good feel for the lay of the land or you can watch the train on its journey south.
FrankKeller > 10-28-10: The sunset tonight was remarkable. Pikes Peaks is silhouetted and surrounded by God's handiwork. I love living in Colorado!
FrankKeller > 10-27-2010: Big country small train. Taken near Moab along the Colorado River.
FrankKeller > 10-26-10: A Dall Sheep surveys me before resuming his climb up the rugged Chugach Mountains near Anchorage, Alaska.
FrankKeller > 10-25-10: Sears Tower from Lake Michigan.
FrankKeller > 10-24-10: Pikes Peak framed by some local color.
FrankKeller > 10-23-10: The fall colors still look pretty good in the relatively low country of Colorado Springs,CO. One of the 20 or so coal trains rolls through town on a beautiful fall morning.

FrankKeller > 10-21-10: Good thing I am not a hunter. This deer was as curious about me as I was him. We wtached either for more than a few minute before he scampered away in the brush.
FrankKeller > 10-20-10: Cripple Creek was alive with color on this Autumn Sunday. There are many jeep trails that traverse the front range of the Rockies. I always enjoy exploring to see where they go.
FrankKeller > 10-19-10: Another beautiful day in Alaska. An Anchorage bound freight crosses the 20 Mile River on one of the most scenic stretches on the railroad.
FrankKeller > 10-18-10: The weather is always hit or miss in Alaska but I have a real knack for picking great first days. This is the first day of my 2010 trip and as you can see it was a real keeper. Coal is king even in Alaska. A coal train bound for the port at Seward rolls along Turnagain Arm on a truly beautiful fall day.
FrankKeller > 10-17-10: A gigantic Caterpillar dump truck having just dumped its load of overburden heads down the hill for another load. Shot along the haul road of the Victor Gold Mine.
FrankKeller > 10-16-10: An Alaska coal train skirts the edge of Upper Trail Lake while the Kenai Mountains stand guard.
FrankKeller > The restored Seward, Alaska train depot sits on the shore of Resurrection Bay.
